Here is the way it works. Under headings write what you think the differences between our options are, and which one you think is the best to use and why.

Patch / Fileloader version

Whatever one we used for Spring. I'm not even in Autumn, but Summer was such utter shit because of 1.12 DoubleNigger  !!WN64AbCpO6P S4s icon.png 15:52, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

User:Test Pony/PESandFL for more information. Test Pony (talk) 19:54, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

1.12 a shit. Revert back to Winter or Spring patches. Either that or PES04. KHS Rowan (talk) 20:49, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

This has to be the first question we ask ourselves. Because with this question comes different results for professional/top player/superstar and global def prowess and file patch loader settings etc. IMO we should use what we saw in The Decision but with lower defensive prowess - Mantis (talk) 01:51, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Game difficulty setting (professional, top player, superstar)

In my experience Top Player is more balanced and overall more fun to watch Polybius (talk) 16:10, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Its a lot of extensive testing and autism Ive been into since I got the manager label. Professional? Never. Top Player IS objectively the best difficulty to play on. KHS Rowan (talk) 20:47, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Going to have to agree with everyone else here, Top Player was far, far better than Professional in the tests I've run on >1.12. Sargbot (talk) 00:28, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Game emotion/heart setting (normal, high, maximum, ???)

>heart

Off please. KHS Rowan (talk) 20:47, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Heart Abuse exists in cup mode for sure, teams that win a game late (or in ET) tend dismantle teams pretty well in the following rounds after gaining a heart boost. For example I had /diy/ beat [s4s] 6-5 aet and proceed to win 4-1 and 4-0 in the next two games. Blacksmith scored 11 goals in 4 games. Sargbot (talk) 00:28, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Global defensive positioning 77 or 88?

GK stats 66 or 77?

Whatever we used in Winter-Spring. KHS Rowan (talk) 20:48, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Fileloader settings

General: fix direct shooting

Isn't this for single player only? --Tottori (talk) 06:16, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Gameplay: shot power

If the cup returned to an older PES14 patch, we'd be again facing on of the issues from Winter and Spring: A statistically improbable plethora of shots from 20-12 yards that are so weak they just fiddle into the hands of the Keeper. Fucking with this would be relevant on Spring or Winter settings. Chance (talk)

Gameplay: ball speed

Gameplay: AI level

Gameplay: Enforce AI balance

If I remember correctly, this only has an effect when not using two controllers, as in that case the AI plays the team without controller worse. But I can't remember where I read it. Generally this option doesn't concern us. --SuppaTenko (talk) 23:47, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Well, as Tenko said. However as several managers don't actually use two controllers, this would be something to take in consideration, perhaps.KHS Rowan (talk) 16:36, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

The host uses two controllers and always has, so arguably we specifically shouldn't consider one-player environments. I'm pretty sure there's always been some play differences in how 1P coach mode plays vs no-player AI in comparison to against a 2P coach mode. --Tottori (talk) 21:00, 23 August 2014 (UTC)

Gameplay: Remove bad AI script

Gameplay: Passing support level
