History
/vg/ League 4
The /vg/ League 4 was /meg/'s debut and couldn't have been more disastrous. Abandoned by its manager, the team zero-pointed the group stage almost scoreless, losing 1-3 to /rsg/, 0-1 to /nintyg/ and 0-2 to /wtg/. The only thing of note is that /meg/ avoided the spoon due to /mgg/ fucking up even harder.
/vg/ League 8
Revived for the /vg/ League 8, in the follow-up of Mass Effect Andromeda's disastrous release, the team had to took part to the qualifiers in the company of /mggg/, newcomers /digi/ and /vg/L 4 foe /wtg/. The first match against /digi/ was classic /meg/, with yet another scoreless (0-2) defeat, but the team finally git gud in the match against /mggg/ where the team dominated and brought home a 2-0 victory thanks to Krogan granddad, making it the first ever /meg/ victory. /meg/ then cleared the qualifiers with a very strong win in the rematch against /wtg/, with 4-0 at full time and a Peepoo hattrick.
In the league proper, /meg/ was to play against former champion /ffg/, /hanny/ and another /vg/L 4 foe; /rsg/. The first match against /ffg/ ended up being an unremarkable 1-1 thriller but then a 3-0 win over /hanny/ put /meg/ in a very good position for advancement, as /ffg/ lost their match against /rsg/. As luck would have it, /meg/ got through the group stage before its last match, but nevertheless, the team had the /vg/L 4 record to set straight, and they did. After getting scored on early, Spiky GF and Peepoo woke up and carried the team to a 4-1 win with a brace each, making /meg/ top the group on 7 points.
The round of 16 would be the end of /meg/'s /vg/L 8 run; down one gold due to an injury in the late game, /meg/ had to fight /hsg/ to a standstill before losing on the penalty shootout. Due to being the best round of 16 team, /meg/ got 9th place and put Spiky GF on the starting /vg/ roster for the 2017 4chan Summer Cup.
/vg/ League 9
By the time the /vg/ League 9 came, Mass Effect was dead and buried, but the general survived and the team readied themselves by trimming down the Andromeda fat from the roster. /meg/ got grouped with /aog/, /utg/ and /vg/L 8 qualifiers foe /digi/ and things got off to a lukewarm start with a 1-2 defeat to eventual champions /aog/ but picked up pace against /utg/ with a pretty mad 5-2 win featuring an Archangel hattrick. With the group being at 3-3-3-3 going into the final day, it was anyone's game and /meg/ only needed a draw against /digi/. The match turned out to be absolute memes, with /digi/ scoring imporbable goals while all /meg/ managed to do was getting its silver AMF send off. Down a significant player for half the game, the team fought valiantly but it still ended on a 3-4 loss. Still, with 3 points and positive GD /meg/ stayed clear from qualifiers watch and secured its rep in /vg/ for the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup and it was top scorer Archangel who got that honour.
