Group A of the 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup contains tournament debutants /wg/ and /po/ (who lost in the preliminary round of the Spring Babby Cup earlier in the year), /vp/ who seek their first ever win in a competitive fixture, and /fa/ who are the most experienced team of the four, having competed in both previous Summer Cups and the Winter Cup.

Summary

Matchday 1

/fa/ and /wg/'s match was a fitting opening to proceedings, as they played out a 5-goal thriller which was decided by a second-half injury time winner from Goldblum. While /fa/ were dangerous, with Stalin a persistent threat to the /wg/ back line, his brace was not enough to secure victory for the arguably strongest side in the group.

/vp/'s wait for their first competitive victory went on as they ground out a draw with /po/. Miror B and Nigger Winner Furthremore struggled in front of goal, until the former set up Joey's Rattata to score, cancelling out Paper Plane's early goal for /po/.

Matchday 2

Another lacklustre performance from /vp/ leaves them facing the abyss. Although they took the initiative with an early goal from Nigger Winner Furthremore, /fa/ then took control and goals from Hitler Youth and Young Stalin earned them the vital points.

/wg/ laid out their credentials for a title challenge with a confident display against /po/. A Cunt Destroyer double was enough to see them past /po/, who must win their final match to stand a chance of advancing.

Matchday 3

After playing a tough, drag-out match for the first half, /wg/'s defense collapsed all of a sudden as /vp/ rocketed 4 goals past their keeper. Claims that /wg/'s manager rigged the match by sitting several of his starters were dismissed by the 4CCC, but a spokesperson said, "You gotta admit, whether or not he intended the final result, that was one hell of a troll."

Meanwhile, /fa/'s manager was reportedly out on a "date" with a "real woman" instead of coaching his virtual divegrass team, and with victory all but assured in his mind he decided to bench his best players to rest them for what he assumed would be a guaranteed victory against /po/ and/or a certain loss for /vp/. Unfortunately for them, /po/ decided to play spoiler. /fa/'s gold and silver players came in late in the second half, but /po/ scored the match's only goal and destroyed /fa/'s chances of making the Winter Cup.
