Save for the occasional waifuposting and Jewgle shilling, /ffg/ is usually in perpetual danger of being swallowed up by the Void -- a situation that obviously concerns the finances of its resident Moogle mercantile. So when one day a passing Moogle discovered the /vg/ League, he thought it would be a good idea to pitch a football team for the general -- for a fee, of course, kupo! How much, you ask? Oh, just an Ifrit Pouch's worth of gems, kupo, hoho. (They agreed, despite the protestations of one faggot who promptly called everyone listening to the Moogle a retard, adding that they were literally seething after being exposed and BTFO.)

N-not that it's about the money, kupo, it's about winning glory for the general! I-it's just money we need to keep the team managing afloat! And to make sure it's not so dead all the time by distracting everyone with virtual divegrass! Kupo-po!
