Group F of the 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup lays the strongest claim to the title 'Group of Death', consisting mostly of established tournament veterans in the form of /gif/, /soc/ and /lit/. /adv/ were due to compete in the Spring Babby Cup but were disqualified due a technicality. They'll hope to make amends this time around.
Summary
Matchday 1
/gif/ showed they were a beautiful strong board who don't need no manager as they beat /lit/ 4-1. A False Dichotomy own goal did little to save face for /lit/.
There was little to separate /soc/ and /adv/, however, as they played out a 2-2 draw. Both teams scored once in each half, with Feet and 5 inch dick putting them away.
Matchday 2
No one was prepared for the thriller of a match between /gif/ and /soc/. A Sauce hat-trick with a Crush reply somewhere in-between left /gif/ 3-1 up, but something awoke within /soc/ as they played excellent passing football to take back the match and make it 4-3. The excellent performance was topped off with a 35-yard free kick stunner from Feet.
It would have taken a miracle for /adv/ and /lit/ to replicate the magic of the previous match, and the miracle never came. Both teams laboured to a 1-1 draw with Kindle and 5 inch dick getting the goals.
Matchday 3
/soc/ and /lit/ played out a close match with goals from Lolita Wanted It and Entry Level securing the latter's first win of the tournament. Two more goals would have been enough for /lit/ to advance at the expense of /soc/ but it was not to be.
/gif/ showed nothing of the goalscoring prowess of their first two matches as they succumbed to a crushing 4-0 defeat at the hands of /adv/ to be condemned to another six months of bottom-rung misery. 5 Inch Dick was the star of the show with a hat-trick.
