The Ninth Founding is the name currently given to the teams that formed after 4chan mods expanded the website in 2020 and 2021. As of August 16th, 2021, four teams gained entry into the 4chan Cup. These teams had to demonstrate interest within their respective board in order to be allowed to compete in the Cup.
