Second Founding

The Second Founding marked the first wave of new teams to enter the 4chan Cup. Technically, the four new teams were not expansion clubs, but instead replaced teams relocated due to lack of fan support after the 2011 4chan Summer Cup. The Second Founding teams' first competition was the 2012 4chan Winter Cup. All of the "relocated" teams bar /adv/ (disqualified due to having an incomplete roster) would later be reformed for the 2012 4chan Spring Babby Cup.

Trivia

• As of the conclusion of the 2023 4chan Spring Babby Cup, all four Second Founding teams have won at least one cup (/tg/ in the 2015 4chan Winter Cup, /jp/ in the 2016 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, /o/ in the 2020 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, and /co/ in the 2023 4chan Spring Babby Cup), making it the only founding in which every team has won a cup. /o/ are also one of only three* teams to complete a perfect cup-winning run, winning all of their matches in Autumn 2020.
• As of the conclusion of the 2023 4chan Spring Babby Cup, the Second Founding teams have a total of 11 "medal" finishes; 4 first place finishes, 2 second place finishes, and 5 third place finishes.
• As of the conclusion of the 2023 4chan Spring Babby Cup, /co/ have the highest efficiency out of this Founding at 44%, while /jp/ have the lowest at 37.59%.
