The Ninth Founding is the name currently given to the teams that formed after 4chan mods expanded the website in 2020 and 2021. As of April 24th, 2021, three teams gained entry into the 4chan Cup. These teams had to demonstrate interest within their respective board in order to be allowed to compete in the Cup, and made their debut in the 2021 4chan World Cup.
Trivia
- The Ninth Founding is the only 4chan Cup founding ever to consist of boards with the same first letter.
