With a new PES in play, /pol/ began the 2020 Summer Cup with high hopes, and with an early 2-0 win over [[/g/]], things seemed to be playing out just as planned. Things took several turns for the worse, however, as a loss against [[/c/]] due to an 88th-minute goal by Do It For Her put /c/ right behind /pol/, with [[/adv/]] sitting on top of the group stage at a comfortable 6 points. Going into the final day, a win would basically guarantee /pol/ through.
As the lack of snow of Winter 2023 fell, things didn't seem as dire as they would eventually turn out to be. The group stage started with /pol/ narrowly losing to /t/ due to an 87th minute goal hattrick by Never Ever Paying Adobe. /pol/ then managed to clinch a 3-2 win over /fit/ with a similar 87th minute goal and hattrick by the Jews, proving once again that with jews, sometimes you win.


It was not to be, of course, as /c/ would proceed to win 2-0 against /g/, and much like another team in that infamous cup, /pol/, too, would give up a 3 point lead and end up drawing /adv/ 3-3 to land squarely in 3rd place with 4 points. Like so many cup winners before them, /pol/ would be relegated almost immediately.
The fateful harbinger of things was yet to come. /pol/ faced off against /cm/, in a rematch from the Winter 2020 run that saw /pol/ win a star, and a rematch from that fateful loss in Summer 2019 that saw /cm/ get theirs. In a 4-3-3-1 group, with /pol/ on 3 points and /cm/ on 4, a win would see either team through.


====Autumn 2020 - Can It Get Worse? Of Course It Can!====
/pol/ proceeded to lose, 4-1, sealing their fate and sending them to the babbies. It's a real statement to make, that this demotion from the Elites would end up being the high point for /pol/ for the next one and a half years.
With the 2020 US election on the horizon, in the wake of a large number of Fiery But Mostly Peaceful Protests, notorious self-defense shootings, a global lockdown and "pandemic", and with multiple Happenings on the horizon, the winds of change seemed to be blowing in /pol/'s favor yet again. But a 1-0 loss to [[/sci/]] and a 2-1 loss to [[/co/]] put those plans to bed as well. At least some dignity was salvaged with a 2-0 win against [[/int/]]. Yet the news of the election, and the various contestations to follow, overshadowed anything and everything /pol/ might have brought to the pitch in the cup.


It was hoped that /pol/ might play in Spring 2021. An aborted "coup" in the US, ever more happenings. However, planning for the 10th anniversary, the 2021 4chan World Cup, overshadowed everything, and to this end, /pol/ would spend 9 months waiting for another chance to try their luck.

A team can go from first, second, or third place one cup, then drop to rock bottom within the span of a single cup. /pol/ hadn't exactly reached the top, but it sure would hit rock bottom, defying the age-old tradition of Springtime for Hitler. Springtime russian mud, instead, clogged up /pol/'s tank treads before freezing solid.


====World Cup 2021 - When Own Goals Outweigh Scored Goals====
As always, the beginnings didn't look too dire. A 3-2 loss to /an/ due to a 90+2 goal due to a Most Dangerous Lead wouldn't have been fatal on its own. But the next match, a grudge match between /pol/ and its new best enemy /k/, would be the dagger. /pol/ would lose 3-1 to /k/, dying on the second group stage day as /an/ and /k/ advanced on 6 points each in a 6-6-0-0 group that saw /pol/ and /toy/ fighting against the spoon.
Despite the disastrous events of the latter half of 2020, /pol/ had had 9 months to prepare. Surely, this time, things would go their way, right?


Somehow, /pol/ managed to score fewer goals in their opponents' nets than the opponents themselves did. Stormfront, brought back from the dead as a legacy player, managed to score the only goal /pol/ would get themselves for the entire tournament, with a 2-2 draw against [[/g/]]. In that same match, SICP scored /pol/'s second goal as an own goal, when Linus Torvalds managed to rebound a failed clearance directly off of SICP's chest, and into the net. Against [[/b/]], /pol/ would lose 1-0, and against [[/a/]], /a/ scored every single goal in the match, including an own goal by Accelerator, to bring the scoreline to 4-1.
Who must go? Who is sus?


===Coming Back Swinging===
An own goal by a sussy Amogus sealed Rockyeet's fate as a player on the team forever. A header goal and assist by Assad would see him promoted to a striker position. And a 7-4 loss to /toy/ would grant /pol/ the wooden spoon. /pol/ played better running a 2-3-5 in that final death match on +2 than it did in the rest of the cup.
====Autumn 2021 - Megababby Needle Threading====
It had now been over a year since /pol/ had last been in an Elite competition, or even made a Knockout stage. And in the aftermath of the World Cup, there were now far too many teams in existence. A megababby was greenlit, and /pol/ was now facing a 5 team group stage where only 2 teams would be able to advance.


/pol/ immediately started off strong with a 3-0 win against [[/gd/]] - Hitler, Moonman, and the newly victorious Talichads, fresh from defeating the footsoldiers of ZOG, would march into battle and pull out a win. A 1-0 win against /vp/ would stack /pol/ near the top of the group, before a 3-1 loss to a fresh face from the World Cup, [[/vst/]], put pause to the enthusiasm.

Due to winning the spoon in Spring, /pol/ was sent to the fetus, to try and claw its way out.


In one of the most infamous examples of keeperbabbying in the entire tournament, and possibly the cup, /pol/ besieged the [[/jp/]] net in their last group stage match for 85 minutes without results, as Dekinai-chan saved shot after shot for a total of 10 saves that game, and then a quick counter by a fucking rrat put /jp/ up 1-0. With just 5 minutes left to play, +2 activated, and assholes clenched, /pol/ launched one final assault.
/pol/ first drew against an old frenemy - /mlp/. Down a player on 10 man abuse, /mlp/ pulled ahead, 2-1. A last minute 90+ goal on +2 then proceeded to occur.


And it was a non-medal CB, a certain Red Deer Event, on an assist from notorious deer fucker and nigger anus destroyer Buck Breaking, that would score the equalizer that put /pol/ at 7 points, just enough to push through as second in group, allowing /pol/ to move forward into the 2022 Winter Cup.
Surprise! It wasn't /mlp/ who scored it, it was Assad, in hist first appearance as a striker for /pol/. Assad would proceed to go full sicko mode and score a hattrick against /b/ in the second match of that group stage. Unfortunately, as the rest of the team had yet to show up, /pol/ was only able to hold it level, at 3-3.


It's moments like these that are the reason why we do this shit.
A 2-0 loss to /vg/ would force /pol/ into the survival round for 7th place, where Assad would awaken yet again, and score another hattrick against /r9k/ to bring /pol/ to a 3-2 win over them, and proceed to the final match of the survival round against /aco/. And, predictably, the rest of the team didn't show up, Assad was dead tired after having to drag the team over the hump twice, and PES decided to keeperbabby /pol/, and cause /pol/'s second abortion in its history.


====Winter 2022 - It's Magic, It Has To Be====
Being a satanic ritual isn't the only reason /pol/ opposes abortion, as it turns out. The only bright spot of the fetus involved Assad winning the golden boot for the fetus, something that didn't matter, because no one gives a shit about fetus stats.
The trumpeting of hundred of truck horns heralded /pol/'s entrance into the 2022 Winter Cup. The horns then stopped, as /pol/ suffered a 3-1 loss to [[/u/]], before being replaced with the rattle of gunfire, as a returned face to /pol/'s team, Kyle Rittenhouse, scored a brace against [[/b/]] in a 4-2 win for /pol/. [[/int/]], meanwhile, held the line against /u/ with a 1-0 victory.


Going into the final day, /pol/ sat at 3 points. /u/ sat at 3 points.
===[[2024 4chan Spring Babby Cup]]===
Having suffered an abortion, /pol/ would receive an automatic bye to the Spring Babby cup as the 4CC switched to an older PES version, PES 16.


Two ties occurred. /u/ tied /b/ 3-3 on a 90+ goal from Homucifer. /pol/ tied /int/ 1-1. 4 points each.
The same PES that saw /pol/ get /pol/ocausted due to a shitty export. You can see where this is going, can't you?


A single goal difference was what allowed /u/ to advance, and what sent /pol/ right into Spring.
In continuing the trend of losing 3-2 for the first match, /pol/ would lose 3-2 against /tg/, having crashed the game several times on startup due to aesthetic conversion issues. Another loss, to /h/, and then a final loss to /sp/, put /pol/ almost exactly where it expected to end up. Only /cm/ did worse, and spared /pol/ yet another spoon.


====Spring 2022 - Nearly Springtime For Hitler====

With 40 teams still alive, /pol/ had the distinct misfortune of having to play in another Megababby, once again facing a situation where only the top 2 teams out of groups of 5 would escape.
/pol/ managed to miss the Summer Cup just in time for an assassin to fail to kill a President. Happening after happening had passed /pol/ by as other teams fought for glory. It had been over 2 years since the team had seen an elite. And /pol/ had sunk so low in the rankings that there were even dead teams ranked higher.


And what a show /pol/ put on! Right out of the gate, /pol/ immediately took advantage of a Most Dangerous Lead, and stormed [[/lit/]] 6-2, Doompaul having scored 5 of the goals. Even a 3-2 loss to [[/mlp/]] - the first in an official tournament - didn't slow /pol/ down, as they swept [[/vr/]] 3-1, before defeating an old white whale against [[/sci/]] and winning 2-1, to top the group.
But it was an election year again. A presidential campaign was going on. Happenings were abounding. Once again /pol/ had to fight their way out of a fetus if they didn't want to sit on the sidelines as Happenings happened.


/pol/ continued to barnstorm their way through knockouts. 4-0 against [[/fit/]], 3-1 against [[/xs/]], 6-1 against [[/an/]], their biggest defeat in an official cup. The ultimate victory, however, was not /pol/'s to claim, as /pol/, having run themselves ragged, finally lost in the final, 4-1, against [[/gd/]]. The returned Bogdanoffs, in their guise of economic collapse, scored their first for /pol/ in many years.
A brutal slugfest of a group stage saw a draw against /o/, a loss to /b/, and a win against /n/ that saw one of the first playoff matches in a long time. /pol/ duked it out against /o/ to see who would be forced to have to brave the gauntlet of the survival round. A cheeky 90'+5 from Twingo saw that conclusion out. This time, though, it was not /pol/'s turn for heartbreak in the survival round. /xs/, having fought their way through the first survival round, managed to pull a level 2-2, until this time, /pol/ saw themselves with a 90'+6 from Hitler to seal the game away and push /pol/ into the Autumn Babby.


It couldn't be helped, really. Doompaul, in the fight to the top, had managed to incur the wrath of the Curse of the Golden Boot, with 14 goals, having tied /mlp/'s >Rape for most goals scored in a tournament.
This was just a fetus, yet /pol/ had had to fight tooth and nail to get out of it. But out they did, just in time for an election, and for the 2024 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.


The real prize of the tournament, advancement to the Elites, had been acquired by /pol/. Now it was time to blitz the Elite pitch again.

Going into the Autumn Babby, /pol/ was still one of the lowest ranked teams to enter. /pol/ immediately lost 2-0 to /tv/, and it seemed as though /pol/ had escaped abortion just to go back to the fetus, again.


====Summer 2022 - You Only Have The Jew To Blame For This====
But then a 7-1 Braziling against [s4s] - making this /pol/'s greatest win and [s4s]'s greatest loss to date - propelled /pol/ skywards in the group stage stats. /pol/ still needed a win against /t/ in order to advance, and did so, holding out against the booty pirates long enough to secure advancement to an Elite Cup for the first time in over 2 years.
Two sets of schizophrenics in [[/x/]] and /pol/ faced off in Group H as the heat of summer swept the 4cc. /pol/ lost that battle of insanity 2-1 - [[/x/]]'s conspiracy theories being far more crackpot than anything /pol/ could ever dream of. A tie against [[/h/]] put /pol/ at a single point and -1 goal difference heading into the final day.


Unlike Winter, luck, this time, was on /pol/'s side, as PES, in its self awareness, predicted via gametip that /pol/'s jew would do something in the matchup against /co/. And he did, as the Jew pulled a late first half goal to keep /pol/ at 3-2 over [[/co/]]. [[/h/]] then proceeded to double suicide with [[/x/]], and drag them down by the one goal difference needed to keep them below /pol/.
And who cares about what came next in the babby? It's not like we're a bit salty that our new greatest enemy won it or whatever. Who cares about babbies? /pol/ was elite again for the first time in 2 years, and that's the only stat that matters.
 
Going into the knockouts, /pol/ faced off against [[/m/]], and briefly pulled ahead 3-2 off of a goal by a very sus player. [[/m/]], however, powered up, and blasted 3 unanswered shots into /pol/'s net, bringing the score to 5-3, and ending /pol/'s Summer Cup ambitions for the time being.

2023 4chan Winter Cup

As the lack of snow of Winter 2023 fell, things didn't seem as dire as they would eventually turn out to be. The group stage started with /pol/ narrowly losing to /t/ due to an 87th minute goal hattrick by Never Ever Paying Adobe. /pol/ then managed to clinch a 3-2 win over /fit/ with a similar 87th minute goal and hattrick by the Jews, proving once again that with jews, sometimes you win.

The fateful harbinger of things was yet to come. /pol/ faced off against /cm/, in a rematch from the Winter 2020 run that saw /pol/ win a star, and a rematch from that fateful loss in Summer 2019 that saw /cm/ get theirs. In a 4-3-3-1 group, with /pol/ on 3 points and /cm/ on 4, a win would see either team through.

/pol/ proceeded to lose, 4-1, sealing their fate and sending them to the babbies. It's a real statement to make, that this demotion from the Elites would end up being the high point for /pol/ for the next one and a half years.

2023 4chan Spring Babby Cup

A team can go from first, second, or third place one cup, then drop to rock bottom within the span of a single cup. /pol/ hadn't exactly reached the top, but it sure would hit rock bottom, defying the age-old tradition of Springtime for Hitler. Springtime russian mud, instead, clogged up /pol/'s tank treads before freezing solid.

As always, the beginnings didn't look too dire. A 3-2 loss to /an/ due to a 90+2 goal due to a Most Dangerous Lead wouldn't have been fatal on its own. But the next match, a grudge match between /pol/ and its new best enemy /k/, would be the dagger. /pol/ would lose 3-1 to /k/, dying on the second group stage day as /an/ and /k/ advanced on 6 points each in a 6-6-0-0 group that saw /pol/ and /toy/ fighting against the spoon.

Who must go? Who is sus?

An own goal by a sussy Amogus sealed Rockyeet's fate as a player on the team forever. A header goal and assist by Assad would see him promoted to a striker position. And a 7-4 loss to /toy/ would grant /pol/ the wooden spoon. /pol/ played better running a 2-3-5 in that final death match on +2 than it did in the rest of the cup.

2023 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers

Due to winning the spoon in Spring, /pol/ was sent to the fetus, to try and claw its way out.

/pol/ first drew against an old frenemy - /mlp/. Down a player on 10 man abuse, /mlp/ pulled ahead, 2-1. A last minute 90+ goal on +2 then proceeded to occur.

Surprise! It wasn't /mlp/ who scored it, it was Assad, in hist first appearance as a striker for /pol/. Assad would proceed to go full sicko mode and score a hattrick against /b/ in the second match of that group stage. Unfortunately, as the rest of the team had yet to show up, /pol/ was only able to hold it level, at 3-3.

A 2-0 loss to /vg/ would force /pol/ into the survival round for 7th place, where Assad would awaken yet again, and score another hattrick against /r9k/ to bring /pol/ to a 3-2 win over them, and proceed to the final match of the survival round against /aco/. And, predictably, the rest of the team didn't show up, Assad was dead tired after having to drag the team over the hump twice, and PES decided to keeperbabby /pol/, and cause /pol/'s second abortion in its history.

Being a satanic ritual isn't the only reason /pol/ opposes abortion, as it turns out. The only bright spot of the fetus involved Assad winning the golden boot for the fetus, something that didn't matter, because no one gives a shit about fetus stats.

2024 4chan Spring Babby Cup

Having suffered an abortion, /pol/ would receive an automatic bye to the Spring Babby cup as the 4CC switched to an older PES version, PES 16.

The same PES that saw /pol/ get /pol/ocausted due to a shitty export. You can see where this is going, can't you?

In continuing the trend of losing 3-2 for the first match, /pol/ would lose 3-2 against /tg/, having crashed the game several times on startup due to aesthetic conversion issues. Another loss, to /h/, and then a final loss to /sp/, put /pol/ almost exactly where it expected to end up. Only /cm/ did worse, and spared /pol/ yet another spoon.

2024 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers

/pol/ managed to miss the Summer Cup just in time for an assassin to fail to kill a President. Happening after happening had passed /pol/ by as other teams fought for glory. It had been over 2 years since the team had seen an elite. And /pol/ had sunk so low in the rankings that there were even dead teams ranked higher.

But it was an election year again. A presidential campaign was going on. Happenings were abounding. Once again /pol/ had to fight their way out of a fetus if they didn't want to sit on the sidelines as Happenings happened.

A brutal slugfest of a group stage saw a draw against /o/, a loss to /b/, and a win against /n/ that saw one of the first playoff matches in a long time. /pol/ duked it out against /o/ to see who would be forced to have to brave the gauntlet of the survival round. A cheeky 90'+5 from Twingo saw that conclusion out. This time, though, it was not /pol/'s turn for heartbreak in the survival round. /xs/, having fought their way through the first survival round, managed to pull a level 2-2, until this time, /pol/ saw themselves with a 90'+6 from Hitler to seal the game away and push /pol/ into the Autumn Babby.

This was just a fetus, yet /pol/ had had to fight tooth and nail to get out of it. But out they did, just in time for an election, and for the 2024 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.

2024 4chan Autumn Babby Cup

Going into the Autumn Babby, /pol/ was still one of the lowest ranked teams to enter. /pol/ immediately lost 2-0 to /tv/, and it seemed as though /pol/ had escaped abortion just to go back to the fetus, again.

But then a 7-1 Braziling against [s4s] - making this /pol/'s greatest win and [s4s]'s greatest loss to date - propelled /pol/ skywards in the group stage stats. /pol/ still needed a win against /t/ in order to advance, and did so, holding out against the booty pirates long enough to secure advancement to an Elite Cup for the first time in over 2 years.

And who cares about what came next in the babby? It's not like we're a bit salty that our new greatest enemy won it or whatever. Who cares about babbies? /pol/ was elite again for the first time in 2 years, and that's the only stat that matters.

The day /new/ was shut down, /int/ was invaded by the newsman forces. The occupation instated by the then board-less politically minded was too much for the passive hugbox of AIDS ridden immigrant marxists of /international/ to take on, and thus /pol/ was created, a new home for those who wish to continue freely debating out world-saving ideas, and preparing for the inevitable (and sure to come really soon) Happening.
