The Seventh Founding is the name currently given to the teams that formed after new 4chan moderator Hiroyuki Nishimura expanded the website throughout 2015 and 2016. As of the 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup, two teams gained entry into the 4chan Cup. These teams had to demonstrate interest within their respective boards in order to be allowed to compete in the Cup, where they went on to compete in the 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers.

Qualification

In order to reach the Babby Cup, these teams had to compete in the 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers, a competition consisting of teams demoted from the Babbies as well as teams resurrected from inactivity. The qualifiers consisted of four groups of four where the top two teams from each group would be promoted, as well as one third place team determined in a playoff.
