Team /vp/, created on Jan 6th 2012 rose to fame after coming 20th in the [[2012 4chan Spring Babby Cup]], with just 1 point, and a -5 goal difference. Soon after, it gained even more notoriety for its involvement in the Wardrobe Malfunction in the [[2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup]] leading to an appearance in the [[2013 4chan Winter Cup]]. /vp/ was drawn in the "Group Of Death 2, Electric Boogaloo" with /tg/, /co/ and /jp/. Through hard work and a whole lot of effort, /vp/ flopped and was relegated back to the [[2013 4chan Spring Babby Cup]] where they failed to promote back into the elite cups under the management of {{Anonymous|Gallow|!!7stZmDLgMOZ}} who was revealed to be one of Dragonfag's personas after the events of [[Dragongate]].


Due to Dragongate, /vp/ were relegated to the [[2013 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers]]. Drawn with /an/ and /s/ as well as newcomers /asp/ and /out/ in [[2013 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers - Group C|Group C]], /vp/ (managed by {{Anonymous|Test Ponyta|!!YXbPlZYbUui}}) started badly losing 2-1 to /out/ and, despite a powerful 5-2 win over /s/, got blown out by /an/ and /asp/ and were unable to qualify for the [[2013 4chan Autumn Babby Cup]].

The team would have participated in the [[2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers]] due to their awful Fetus performance, but the event was cancelled and /vp/ were thrusted into a Mega Babby for the [[2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup]]. Drawing /c/, /u/, /sci/, and fellow former fetus team /vg/ in [[2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup Group H|Group H]], and with another new manager ({{Anonymous|Powdinet|!!OuxsQQ+O0Aj}}), the team got slaughtered by /vg/ 3-0 before relegating /sci/ 2-1 and saving their hopes for Summer. However, /vp/ would lose their next game against a powerful /u/ side, 2-1, and /u/ went on to win their next game against group-dominating /vg/ 2-1, effectively dooming /vp/ as they would need to blow /c/ the fuck out to get through. /vp/ did manage to drag /c/ down with them due to an early goal and very-late-game Konata spaghetti, but the team still finished 32nd out of 40 teams participating in the cup.

Finally, /vp/ achieved their greatest success; new manager {{anonymous|McBob|!!zPWSTDJs1Sv}} led the team to wins over /sp/ and /cgl/ in [[2014 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Group H|Group H]] of the [[2014 4chan Autumn Babby Cup]], which, combined with draws to /i/ and /y/, pushed /vp/ into the [[2015 4chan Winter Cup]], their first Elite Cup in two years, as they placed 7th out of 40 Autumn Babby participants. And then it all went to shit. Grouped in [[2015 4chan Winter Cup Group A|Group A]] with then-champion /mu/ as well as /f/ and /i/, /vp/ lost their first two matches, 1-0 in the cup opener to /mu/ and 2-0 to /i/, making them the first team knocked out of the cup. /vp/ F.C., the virtual divegrass team representing 4chan's /vp/ - Pokémon board, has one goal, and one goal only: to be the very best -- like no one ever was. Historically an underperforming team, /vp/'s form had consistently improved since their first legitimate ticket to the Elites -- and with a trophy on their shelf, /vp/ is always ready to prove they're nothing if not dedicated to the lofty goal of Pokémon Master, whether their path to it be through Karenfagging their way in with their favorites, or autistically breeding that perfect 31-IV team.

But though /vp/ may stumble and fall, a real Pokémon Master does not fall into despair, nor give up on their dreams, no matter what challenges are in store. Summer is far on the horizon, but the Victory Road is within sight.

/v/ - The Vidya Derby		 /vp/, created to stop Pokémon threads from overwhelming /v/ after the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver, doesn't really have a good relationship with their progenitor board.

Some might argue that /v/ had more games until they kicked /vp/ out, but that's debatable. The fact alone that /vp/ exists doesn't really help things, because now that Pokémon has a board all to itself, all the unsavory elements have broken loose: waifufags, furries, and general autism. When it comes down to it, though, neither board in this rivalry can claim the high ground, because they're honestly both cancer in equal portions.

The first meeting between these two was a friendly, one which /v/ won 2-0; /vp/ went on to decisively win the next match-up 3-0 in a game that led to the first hat-trick of the 2017 4chan Winter Cup, before taking /v/ down with them three years later with a 3-2 win.

/vr/ - Nostalgia Derby		 Don't get me wrong, retro games are ABSOLUTELY RADICAL -- it's just that for the record, Pokémon Red and Blue were, objectively speaking, a fucking horrible, glitch-ridden mess.

Unfortunately, the genwunners don't seem to have gotten the memo. Thing is, nostalgiafaggotry is frowned upon on /vp/ as discounting the improvements of later generations, or plain denial of reality, and when you have /vr/ -- a board literally made of nostalgiafaggotry, something's bound to go on a terrible collision course.

/vp/ and /vr/ have met three times: a 3-2 victory for /vp/ in the 2013 Summer Cup Friendlies, followed by a 1-0 strikeback from /vr/ in the following Summer. The first non-friendly match between the two was in the Quarter Finals of the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup resulting in a 4-3 victory for /vp/.
