Summary

Matchday 1

First half no-ball match with no shots on target broke out in the second half with a classic through-ball goal by /sp/ favorite MESSI. A surprisingly hard-fought match, led by LGBT forward Kinsey, that was stopped by an awake and attentive /sp/ defense despite the best efforts of /sp/ goalie >de gay to hand the game to his fellow fags.

Despite an aggressive offensive line, /f/ found themselves stalled out by /g/oalkeeper Stallman, who, supported by a relatively decent /g/ defense, blocked all of /f/'s shots for 70 minutes of the game. However, /f/'s strong teamwork and aggressive players eventually smash through the /g/ line, and bronze player WRRRRYY scored /f/'s first goal. It seemed like the game would end there, but with Thatgeeultrafaggot panicking and going full 20s, /g/ managed to break through a spaghetti-ing /f/ defense with a goal by Titus to equalize the game. /f/'s attempts to maintain their lead were again stymied by the Stallman, but in the last minute of injury time though, /f/ managed to crush /g/'s hopes and dreams with a wonderful goal by Loli Cat Girls and secure a victory. /f/ showed themselves to be the better team, and it seems likely that they and /sp/ will advance from Group B.

Matchday 2

A cheeky last-minute goal by USAUSAUSA put /sp/ in the lead after they played a weak game against an /f/ that led them 2:1 in shots. Despite a fierce offense, /f/ was unable to put the game away when confronted with DA BURRS in the goal. USAUSAUSA scored /sp/'s first and last goals by playing his way around the wings of /f/'s defense as Messi amd >Moyes consistently choked on their midfield sandwich, while Nipaa would equalize the game well into second half off a nice interception, before seeing /f/'s hopes and dreams crushed at the 90' by USAUSAUSA. It was only that last-minute goal that saved /sp/ from drawing the match, and put them at the nearly untouchable top of Group B, and whispers of #BringBackDragonfag have begun to filter through the mess of chat and general thread.

A well-conditioned /lgbt/ defensive line proved limp and incapable against the scoring machines of /g/. This match was dominated offensively by /g/, dominated defensively by /g/, and was all in /g/'s favor despite some desperate attempts by /lgbt/ to equalize the game after /g/'s first thru-ball. Two amazing "goals" by /g/ and /lgbt/ were negated by goalkeeping refs who declared their players offsides, preventing Bearforce and moto/g/ from getting their well-deserved points. /lgbt/ remains a contender, if by some miracle they win their next game, but the one to watch Frday will be /g/ as they take on /f/ for second-place in the group.

Matchday 3

An absolute sleeper of a game with no midfield players and shit offense, /sp/ was the only winner of this match. Shit passes and multiple interceptions saw very few on-target shots made by either side in /f/ manager Old Man Sou's first ever draw. Thanks to this result, /sp/ was confirmed to pass on to the knockouts, and /f/ would find themselves hoping for an /sp/ victory in the coming match.

Out-conditioned but not out-shot by an already through /sp/, /g/ tried to get some early points during the first period, making incredible drives deep into /sp/'s side of the pitch. /g/ forward Tidus would make the first goal of the game, but MESSI and USAUSAUSA would counter almost immediately to tie up the score 1-1. Despite /g/'s offensive focus and attempts to siege, /sp/ would steal the ball away and give it to a Purple >Moyes who would score another goal on /g/'s favorite GK Richard Stallman. All 20 panic by /g/ at the 85' could not bring them back, as USAUSAUSA stole the ball and nailed it into /g/'s goal to seal their fate. It must be said, /sp/'s rookie GK Clark the Cub, who won 8.0 Man of the Match, was instrumental in stalling /g/'s forceful offense and keeping them down to a single point. With this, /f/ would move on to the knockout rounds to face a flock of SEAGULLS, and /sp/ prepare for a super-hyped match.
