The Friendship Association Games 9 is the ninth iteration of this unofficial 
/mlp/ tournament. The tournament will be played on the weekends of August 20–21 & 27–28, alongside the /mlp/ roster poll for the 2022 4chan Autumn Babby Cup. Streamed by Titan on Cytube. Match recordings can be viewed here.

Teams are placed in four different pots based on seeding. Seeding is determined by:
- The finishing position of teams participating in the Friendship Association Games 8
- Teams debuting in this iteration are placed in pot 4
