The Winter Solstice is the sequel to the 8 Years of Rigging tournament, and the only Winter edition of The Redux Series. It will last for five days, from January 8 (starting at Cup time UTC) until January 12, 2020 and will be hosted by AviationRigger !!Jon8cx4b8Yu on his Twitch page. After winning the previous top-tier competition, /fa/ hosted this cup as a result of winning the previous tournament. This tournament was the first appearance for the teams of the Second Founding, with newcomers /tg/, /co/, /jp/, and /o/ replacing /s/, /int/, /adv/, and /soc/ respectively.

Similar to the 2011 Summer Cup and 8 Years of Rigging, this tournament would use the double-elimination bracket format, and this would be its final rendition. In this system, all teams began in the Winner's Bracket. A loss would drop them down into a spot in the Loser's Bracket, determined by how far they advanced in the Winner's Bracket. If a team loses in the Loser's Bracket, they are eliminated from the tournament.

Also for the last time, each team chose three gold-standard players who received 99 in each stat with all other players getting 66. This is the last tournament featuring this system, following a rehash by GermanBro for 2012 Spring Babbies.

Save

Much like Summer 11, most of the cup has been lost to time unless BasedNickLeddy has some never released before files, a lot of assumptions had to be made, mostly with the kits and player appearances (which were kept to the default faces the players already had in this save if it wasn't certain what face a player had) so this could be wildly inaccurate, but the best was done with the few videos, screenshots and evidence available.
