Multinational Bowl 2

The Multinationalb Owl (aka the Multi-Bowl, or the Multinats) was an invitational tournament that took place after the 2016 4chan Summer Cup. The tournament served as the 4CC's equivalent of the World Cup, featuring real and fictional nations alike forming teams in the style of 4chan Cup teams. Due to this invitational having many "international" teams, /int/ served as host for the event. The event was streamed by QD on his Hitbox.

Format

Twenty teams competed in this tournament. Each team represented a nation in either the real, fictional, or historical category.

The group stage consisted of four groups of 5 teams each. Two groups had 3 real teams and 1 fictional team, the other two groups had 2 real and 2 fictional, and each of the four groups had 1 historical team. The top 2 teams from each group advanced to the knockout stages. Normal cup rules applied for this tournament.

A new rule was trialed during the knockout stages in which a team was allowed to make a fourth substitute during extra time. Fourth-sub changes during the interval between the end of regulation and the start of extra time were also allowed. However, none of the matches in the knockout rounds proceeded to extra time.

To managers:

• Submit instructions to QD no later than 2 hours before the start of each match day (unless the provided instructions last throughout the duration of the Owl)
• Default setups for teams that don't provide instructions: sub in best conditions pre-match, leaving medal players on pitch; run preset 1; sub off weakest players at 65'
• Errors in tactics exports, illegal changes, and other silly team schemes before a match will cost the team their pre-match setup rights for that match; further infractions will result in more nerfs at the discretion of the Multi-Bowl committee
