The /pol/eague/ 2 is the second edition of the /pol/eague series, a Pol icon.png /pol/ themed invitational, where any generals on /pol/ is allowed to compete. Teams that don't represent a general but are strictly related to /pol/ are allowed to compete. The tournament will take place on January 5th-6th-7th and will be streamed by MarcoZ and Kekkels on the4chancup Smashcast channel.

Ptg icon.png /ptg/ will host this tournament by virtue of their victory in the /pol/eague 1.

Competitors

In order to participate, you must select generals that existed on /pol/ and have been relevant in recent history (or at least, something related to /pol/).
Any manager is allowed to manage, as long as you know what to understand on /pol/.

Pots

The Draw took place on January 4th at 00:20 UTC on Canes' smashcast

Teams are placed in four different pots based on seeding. Seeding is determined by:

  1. Finishing position of the teams from the /pol/eague 1 in that tournament.
  2. New teams competing in the /pol/eague for the first time (first come first served).

All of the highest-seeded competitors (the top three in /pol/eague 1) are placed in Pot 1, the next-highest in Pot 2 and so on until all four pots contain three teams.

Rules and Format

The tournament will use a different ruleset:

  • Medals distribution: One gold player, two silvers and two bronzes (GSSBB). Gold players have 99 in every stat, Silvers 94 and Bronzes 89. Regular Players are still at 77.
  • 1 additional card on Golds and silvers, bronzes get what silvers used to.
  • Goalkeepers can be in the 194cm band (green)
  • Different Heights systems: see pic below

Live-managing is permitted. Note: This ruleset is still under testing so it may be changed

Teams will be draw in 3 groups where the top 2 and the 2 best thirds will advance to knockouts.

Requirements

  • Working PES 2017 export (AutoATF isn't available yet, please double check your export before submitting it)
  • Working Music export for anthem and goalhorn(s) (see Rigdio)
  • At least two outfielder kits and one goalkeeper kit (see AET)
  • Team logo

Exports deadline is set to January 3rd at 23:59 UTC Note: This tournament is going to be held in PES 2017, the /pol/ management will help managers to set up their shit if it's needed.

Knockout Stage

Quarterfinals format:

  • The three group winners and the best group runner-up will each play at home in the quarterfinals.
  • The best group runner-up will play against the 2nd-best group runner-up in the 4th quarterfinal, while the group winner in the same group as the best group runner-up will play against the 3rd-best group runner-up.
  • The other two group winners will each play one of the two qualified 3rd-place teams, with the requirement that their opponent cannot be from the same group.
